LaSalle County, IL (July 17, 2024) – A man was killed in a deadly accident that took place on Sunday in LaSalle County, per local authorities.

According to a press release from the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, the coroner was called to the OSF St. Paul Medical Center Emergency Room regarding a man who had been involved in a motor vehicle accident southbound on Route 251, north of Mendota.

Edwardsville, IL (July 16, 2024) – According to troopers with the Illinois State Police who responded to the incident, a two-vehicle accident happened at about noon on Tuesday, July 16, on State Route 157 at Excel Drive in Edwardsville.

Edwardsville Police and Fire responded to a traffic crash on Route 157 at Excel Drive at approximately 11:45 a.m., said Police Chief Michael Fillback. At least one truck and a sedan, as well as a potential third vehicle, collided at the site. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, though state police added that injuries were also reported.

Ingleside, IL (July 15, 2024) – Ingleside Police Department officers are investigating after at least one person was killed when a train and a vehicle crashed in the north suburbs on Monday, July 15, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Chicago, IL (July 14, 2024) – According to officers with the Chicago Police Department, a motorist struck and killed a man on the city’s South Side on Saturday morning, July 13.

The hit-and-run collision occurred in the 10700 block of South Emerald Avenue in the Roseland neighborhood shortly before 6:15 a.m., per police.
