Kogut & Wilson is pleased to announce that Stephanie Tang has received the Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA) Young Lawyer of the Year Award for Cook County. Each year the ISBA Young Lawyers Division presents this award to two individuals, one who practices within Cook County and one outside the county.
Nominated by numerous industry peers, Stephanie was recognized for her significant contributions as an outstanding young lawyer, including her achievements in the practice of law, contributions to the ISBA and legal profession, as well as her service to the community.
Stephanie focuses her practice on representing individuals in all aspects of family and matrimonial law proceedings. She is a certified mediator and an Associate with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois. She is also proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, skills that make her an invaluable resource especially to many of her pro bono clients.
Earlier this year, Stephanie was appointed secretary for the Center for Disability and Elder Law (CDEL) Young Professionals Board. CDEL is an organization that provides pro bono legal services to low-income residents in Cook County.
Stephanie will receive a plaque in recognition for her service to the profession at the ISBA Awards reception July 11, 2019.
