Glenview, IL (August 27, 2024) – An investigation into a Saturday, August 24, car crash continues, and the Glenview Police Department is hoping for some assistance from the public.
After the incident, police say three people involved in the crash were taken to Lutheran General Hospital with injuries. According to police, the two-car crash happened around 8:35 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Lake Avenue. A 2024 Audi Q3 was traveling westbound on West Lake Avenue from Milwaukee Avenue when it crossed over the center line into the eastbound lanes.
A 2019 Subaru Accent was traveling eastbound from Magnolia on West Lake Avenue at the time, and it was struck by an Audi, ejecting the passenger of the Subaru. Both occupants of the Subaru and the driver of the Audi were taken to an area hospital by the Glenview Fire Department. The driver of the Subaru was admitted with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the same car underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition.
Police said the cause of the traffic accident is still under investigation with assistance from the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force Major Crash Assistance Team. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Glenview Police Tip Line.
