Chicago, IL (March 21, 2024) – Illinois State Police said that one person was killed on the Dan Ryan Freeway following an early-morning crash, and authorities have since identified the victim.
Around 4:20 a.m. on Monday, a pedestrian was hit and killed on I-94 in the Fuller Park area between Dan Ryan and 47th Street. According to state police, the pedestrian was hit by an unidentified car that was traveling southward and did not stop. The Cook County Medical Examiner confirmed the victim’s identity as 39-year-old Jaime Carrasco. His age was 39 years. At the scene, Carrasco was declared deceased, but ISP is looking for the motorist involved in the hit-and-run accident.
