Justin Bieber’s Bored Ape NFT was valued at $1.3 million in 2022—now it’s only worth around $60,000

NFTNon-fungible tokens (NFTs) saw a surge in popularity in 2021 as consumers spent millions buying and trading digital collectibles. One collection, the Bored Ape Yacht Club, was one of the most popular. In the past year, the entire collection has declined in value by around 95%.

Singer Justin Bieber owns the Bored Ape #3001 NFT, which was around $1.3 million in 2021. As of July 2023, it is only worth approximately $59,000, and basketball star Stephen Curry purchased Bored Ape #7990 for $180,000 in August 2021, but as of July 2023, it is only worth about $58,000. The downward turn of the NFT market appears to be continuing.
