Two marked squad cars operated by the Chicago Police Department collided late Saturday night on the city’s Southwest Side, leaving three officers injured while responding to a service call. The crash occurred shortly before midnight near the 3900 block of West Cermak Road, police officials said.

Authorities confirmed the two law enforcement vehicles struck each other at an intersection as they were en route to an emergency situation. All three injured officers, identified as adult males, were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. No additional injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
