A 95-year-old man was killed in a tragic crash after his vehicle stalled in the middle of a northwest suburban roadway Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Lake Cook Road near Quentin Road in Deer Park, where the man’s car became disabled in the center lane while he was traveling westbound. The impact caused fatal injuries, and the elderly man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders shut down traffic in the area as police, fire crews, and paramedics responded. A 30-year-old man driving the second vehicle and his 30-year-old female passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
