Chicago, IL (December 22, 2024) – A driver died after a vehicle crash on the city’s Southwest Side, Illinois State Police said on Sunday. The crash happened at about 2:20 a.m. on the Stevenson Expressway ramp to Damen Avenue near McKinley Park.
Illinois State Police said one of the drivers was taken to the hospital, where they died. The driver has not been identified. That said, troopers announced that their investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time. Witnesses were asked to get in touch if they had additional details.
