Woodstock, IL (November 30, 2024) – According to officials at the scene, four people were injured, including two children, in a rollover crash that took place near the unincorporated area of Woodstock on Thursday, November 28.

Around 7:25 p.m., Woodstock Fire/Rescue District teams were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Charles Road and North Queen Anne Road. Crews found two heavily damaged vehicles with individuals on the ground nearby. Fire officials also confirmed that one of the vehicles was flipped and had significant damage.

All occupants were able to get out of their vehicles before emergency crews arrived. Four occupants of the overturned vehicle, including two adults and two children, were taken to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital with injuries. The driver of the second vehicle refused treatment at the scene.

Charles Road was closed in both directions for nearly an hour as firefighters assisted with debris removal from the roadway; however, the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash in the interim.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their full recovery at this time.

Rollover Accidents in Illinois

Rollover car accidents are among the most dangerous types of collisions, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities. In Illinois, these accidents can be caused by various factors, including vehicle design defects, speeding, poor road conditions, or driver negligence. When a rollover accident occurs, victims may suffer from broken bones, spinal injuries, head trauma, or internal injuries that require extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation.

In the aftermath of a rollover accident, victims have several legal options for seeking compensation. They may file a personal injury claim against the at-fault driver, or if the accident was caused by a defective vehicle, they could pursue a product liability case against the manufacturer. In cases where poor road conditions contributed to the crash, victims might be able to hold local or state government entities responsible. Regardless of an accident’s cause and a victim’s potential options, a skilled personal injury attorney can help victims navigate these legal avenues, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.
