Baker Sterchi Member Heather Shore will co-present “Don’t Let Damages Get You Down: Sticky and Tricky Damages Theories in Construction Litigation,” at the 2024 Construction Super Conference, taking place Dec. 9-11 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Her presentation will address complex damages theories in construction claims, including how quantum meruit differs from a “total cost” claim, strategies for navigating liability clause limitations and other key topics.
Based in Kansas City and licensed in Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Texas, Shore has nearly 30 years of experience in complex construction, surety and commercial litigation. She actively participates in professional organizations related to her practice, serving on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Construction and Commercial Arbitrators and as a member of the American Bar Association’s Construction and Surety sections. Shore frequently speaks and writes on legal and business issues affecting the construction and surety industries.
The Construction Super Conference, established 38 years ago, is an annual event designed for mid- to senior-level professionals in the legal and commercial construction industries. Educational sessions and panel discussions address pressing legal, business and economic issues in construction.
