Equality, IL (November 26, 2024) – Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash in Gallatin County on Monday, November 25, per local authorities.

The Illinois State Police (ISP) reported the crash happened at 1:10 p.m. in the area of Illinois 13 and Pool Road. ISP troopers from Troop 10 responded to the crash, saying a white 2003 Volvo station wagon and a red 2020 Ford F-150 pickup truck were involved.

The crash investigation is in its early stages; however, ISP has reported two people were confirmed dead. No further details were released in the interim about those who were hurt or about circumstances leading to the accident, but an inquiry is ongoing.
