2025 Employment Law Update

About the Session:

This session will cover recent developments in employment law impacting Illinois employers and discuss best practices for avoiding liability and employment-related lawsuits. The key learning outcomes will include: 1) Identify common workplace issues that lead to employment litigation and potential employer liability, and 2) Minimize liability exposure and mitigate risk associated with employment decisions and practices.

About the Session:

In this session the participants will be provided with the legal requirements surrounding harassment/discrimination in the workplace including all relevant legal updates. Beyond reviewing statutes and caselaw, Liz and Kathleen will provide real life scenarios to demonstrate best practices. Throughout the presentation, the participants will be provided hypothetical matters and be given the opportunity to discuss amongst themselves and the presenters how they would address the issue in their work environment.
