Effingham, IL (October 1, 2024) – A Teutopolis motorcyclist is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Monday, September 30, according to local authorities.
Officers with the Effingham Police Department responded to an accident at the intersection of Keller Drive and Midtowne Boulevard involving a motorcycle and a motor vehicle at about 12:25 p.m. The driver of the motorcycle, Dale T. Davis, 27, from Teutopolis, was later pronounced deceased. The motor vehicle driver, a 37-year-old man from New Providence, New Jersey, was issued a citation for failure to yield. No further information about the crash was immediately available, however, as an investigation is still ongoing.
