Chicago, IL (October 3, 2024) – According to local authorities, a person riding a bicycle was involved in a crash with a CTA bus on Thursday, October 3, on the city’s Southwest Side.
The collision happened around 6:20 p.m. near West 26th Street and South Kedzie Avenue in Little Village, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said. The bicyclist was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition, fire officials said. Their age and gender were not immediately known. No other details about the drivers involved or the events leading up to the incident were released, but an inquiry into the accident remains active.
