Edwardsville, IL (September 27, 2024) – According to Edwardsville Police Chief Michael Fillback, Edwardsville police and fire departments responded to Governors’ Parkway and Route 157 at about 7:40 p.m. on Friday evening, September 27, for a three-vehicle accident.

One of the vehicles involved was flipped on the side, and the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire department personnel. The driver of another vehicle involved in the crash was taken to the hospital via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. ISP has not yet provided additional information about the conditions of those injured or further details about the incident. However, an investigation is still ongoing in the interim.
