Bethalto, IL (August 3, 2024) – Illinois State Police troopers reported a motorcycle accident that took place on Illinois Highway 255, about a mile south of Route 140 near Bethalto, on Wednesday evening, July 31.
It’s unclear how many vehicles were involved in the collision, though several other bikers stopped to render aid. Police added that at least one of the subjects was transported by Alton firefighters to an Alton hospital. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The Illinois State Police were investigating the incident on Wednesday evening, but further information about the crash was not immediately available. Witnesses were asked to come forward as soon as possible, however.
