Chicago, IL (July 10, 2024) – A man was killed on Wednesday after a wrong-way crash on the Kennedy Expressway, according to Illinois State Police.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. near Cumberland Avenue on Wednesday, Illinois State Police said. When the crash occurred, a wrong-way driver was heading eastbound on the westbound lanes of I-90. Two cars were involved, and police said two people were injured, one of which died at the scene. The victim was identified as Quinn Anthony Fraboni, 27, from Vernon Hills. All traffic was being diverted to Canfield Avenue.
All lanes were reopened at 10:25 a.m. It’s unclear if the crash was weather-related, as Illinois State Police said it was raining at the time of the accident. However, officers are still investigating; no other injuries or other details related to the incident were reported.
