Evanston, IL (June 29, 2024) – Officials in Evanston were called to the scene of an injury crash on Thursday night, June 27th. The crash occurred just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Emerson Street and McCormick Boulevard.

According to reports from the scene, two cars were involved in the collision. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the intersection. One of the cars was upright while the other was on its roof following the collision. When rescue crews arrived, they found one person trapped inside their vehicle. The victim was alert but had to be extricated from the car. The injured motorist was transported to an area hospital where they were listed in stable condition.
