Waukegan, IL (May 30, 2024) – A 4-year-old child was killed in a head-on crash that occurred in the greater Waukegan area in Illinois on May 29, according to local authorities.
Waukegan police and fire departments responded to the crash around 8:15 a.m. at Sunset Avenue and Kellogg Avenue. Two cars had collided head-on, and several people were injured, police said. All were taken to local hospitals. Preliminary reports indicated that the driver of one of the vehicles crossed the center line for an unknown reason, causing the crash.
