Chicago, IL (May 18, 2024) – According to officers with the Chicago Police Department, a man was struck by a vehicle early on Saturday morning on the South Side of the city and died as a result of the collision.
Just before 12:30 a.m., police stated they arrived at the scene, located in the 3900 block of South Lark Park Avenue, for a separate call. A 46-year-old man attempted to cross South DuSable Lake Shore Drive in the 3800 block when a driver heading north hit and critically injured the man. EMTs attempted life-saving measures on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. However, the CPD’s Investigative Response team is still investigating the accident and has not released further details related to the incident.
