Chicago, IL (May 16, 2024) – On Thursday afternoon, on the city’s Southwest Side, a garbage truck collided with a semi-truck, resulting in the dispatch of a hazardous response team for a fuel leak and the rescue of one of the drivers by firefighters. The collision occurred on South Western Avenue, close to West 31st Street.
According to Chicago fire authorities, a dump truck sideswiped a tractor-trailer at the scene for unknown reasons.
