Dutch assisted suicide activist convicted of mailing deadly drugs to over 1,000 people

Estate planningA Dutch man, identified to the media as “Alex S.” has been convicted of helping at least ten people end their lives via lethal drugs. The pro-euthanasia activist sold deadly substances to those not qualifying for the country’s assisted suicide program. The court sentenced him to three and a half years; however, 18 months of the sentence are suspended. That time will only be served if he offends again.

Alex S. reportedly sold 1,600 “suicide kits” before his arrest. The court found that he lied to customers about the painlessness of the drugs, which resulted in “severe distress and panic which led to a gruesome death.”
