Tucson woman “traumatized” finding mother’s gravestone replaced by someone else
Toni Jenkins has regularly visited her mother’s grave at Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona for 15 years. On a recent visit, she was stunned to find something missing— the gravestone.
Jenkins found a gravestone that bared a different name. Jenkins’s mother, Isidora A. Guttierrez, passed away in 2006. The new headstone bared the name Isidra Meraz Gutierrez, although similar, is distinctly different. She immediately filed a complaint with the cemetery but received few answers besides “it was probably a mistake.”
