Estimated at $150 Million, the Most Valuable Jewelry Collection Heads to Auction in May

Heidi HortonAustrian billionaire Heidi Horten passed away last June at age 81. Horten was an avid jewelry and art collector, amassing a 700-piece jewelry collection worth $150 million.

Horton’s collection surpasses collections like Elizabeth Taylor’s as the world’s most valuable jewelry collection. It is set to be auctioned across a series of sales at Christie’s starting next month.

Proceeds from the jewelry sale will benefit the Heidi Horton Foundation, which supports her eponymous museum in Vienna, medical research, and other philanthropic causes.
