World’s Richest Man Bernard Arnault Taps Daughter to Run Dior

LVMHIt was recently announced that Delphine Arnault, daughter of Bernard Arnault, has been tapped to run LVMH’s second-biggest brand, Christian Dior, replacing Pietro Beccari, who has moved to Louis Vuitton. Her father is the CEO and chair of French luxury fashion and goods giant, LVMH, which is considered to be one of Europe’s most important companies. This announcement comes as LVMH undergoes a major shakeup and just months after Arnault appointed his eldest son, Antoine Arnault, to CEO and Vice-chairman of Christian Dior.

Delphine’s new role is seen by the fashion industry as starting a succession battle between her and Antoine. The family has frequently been compared to the fictional Roy family from the hit HBO show, Succession. All five Arnault children hold senior positions in LVMH and its brands, which also include Stella McCartney, TAG Heuer, Bulgari, and Tiffany.
