Thank you for reading – I am excited to be publishing and working with LexBlog on this blog. The purpose of this blog is simple, to provide a place to write about interesting cases that come up, from the perspective as a law student. While LexBlog focuses on its work with attorneys, I am not an attorney, just a J.D. Candidate at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. As such, the purpose of this blog is for educational purposes, to provide interesting insights into the legal system in the region (and sometimes beyond). My approach to this blog is that like an amateur journalist – covering cases that I and others may find interesting or compelling.

The cases I choose to cover are generally because I find them interesting, they will often bring up interesting areas of the law that either relate to my coursework, or just may have interesting ramifications in the legal field and perhaps, the public at large.

Any references at this time to “lawyer or law firm,” is boilerplate from LexBlog, and we are currently working to remove any of those sorts of references.

Thank you for reading, I hope you consider subscribing, please feel free to contact me to continue the conversation about any of these interesting cases, or follow me on LinkedIn, where I will often post about similar educational themes.
