Anderson Cooper won’t leave his fortune to his son: Why ‘I don’t believe in passing on huge amounts of money’

Anderson CooperLike many celebrities, Anderson Cooper has publicly announced he will not be leaving his fortune to his children.

The CNN anchor, and member of the Vanderbilt family, has publicly said he believes a large inheritance kills a person’s drive to succeed. A recent survey of American millionaires showed that nearly 70% agreed.  Many worry it would be irresponsible to leave too much wealth behind for their beneficiaries, citing fears that it will make them lazy.
