The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism is pleased to announce the launch of a new website and logo, which reflect its mission of advancing the principles of attorney professionalism in the lawyers and judges of Illinois.

The Commission’s new website provides a streamlined and user-friendly platform for legal professionals to access and interact with the Commission’s educational content, including its free online professional responsibility CLEs, its lawyer-to-lawyer mentoring program, its judicial and law school programming, and its legal profession-focused blog, including the popular Reimagining Law video series.

“The Court is dedicated to using education to promote civility and professionalism in the lawyers and judges of Illinois,” said Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Anne M. Burke. “The Commission’s new website provides a modernized platform for legal professionals to engage with its innovative educational programming, which furthers our professionalism mission. We would like to recognize the staff for its work in making this vision a reality.”

The remodeled design is structured around the core principles of attorney professionalism, which the Illinois Supreme Court charged the Commission with promoting through Rule 799. The website provides internal and external resources to support the adoption of these principles in the careers of lawyers, judges, law students, and other legal professionals across Illinois. These concepts include civility, diversity, legal ethics, well-being, and future law.

The Commission’s new logo adapts the “conversation bubble” theme of its original logo through a sleek and updated design. By connecting legal professionals through conversation and learning opportunities, the Commission aims to move the profession closer to civility, which its brand name “2Civility” denotes.

“At the Commission, our goal is to make professionalism accessible for the lawyers and judges of Illinois,” said Martin Sinclair, Chair of the Commission on Professionalism. “As the legal profession changes, we’re transforming the way we run our practices, interact with the courts, and navigate work-life balance. The Commission’s new website provides attorneys with the tools and programming we need to respond to these changes and build meaningful legal careers grounded in civility and integrity.”

The Commission’s rebranding also includes a new presentation template for continuing legal education courses. If you have questions about the new website, please reach out to Communications Director Laura Bagby at laura.bagby@2civility.org.
