Baker Sterchi Member Joshua Davis, St. Louis, was interviewed for an article in the April 2020 issue of CLM Magazine. The article “Virtual Adjusting Steps Into the Spotlight” offers insights and views from insurance and legal professionals regarding the effect of COVID-19 on claims handling.

Davis is quoted as saying “with may courts closed or limiting access, and in-person depositions, mediations, and arbitrations off the table, dealing with COVID-19 is adding an extra layer of challenges for attorneys thinking about pushing cases and, ultimately, addressing evidentiary issues.” He opined, however, “that in the end, when the threats from COVID-19 have passed [everyone] will likely be more efficient and more flexible.”

Davis routinely works on defense cases, with nearly all of his cases rooted in insurance litigation, including third party defense, first party litigation, and insurance coverage. Clients entrust him with work in both personal and commercial lines dealing with property, casualty, and liability matters. He routinely represents clients in catastrophic injury and property cases. Davis earned his law degree from St. Louis University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas.
