Please join the ULCC Entrepreneur Group on Monday, October 29th at 5:30pm for a crash course on cryptocurrencies and how they have the potential to change the future, as we continue our innovation series. Please note the change in location and time for this special event.

It was only in 2009 that the first cryptocurrency was established and it wasn’t until 2017 that cryptocurrencies experienced a massive boom. The importance of this new investment instrument is widely known, but the complex details are still hazy to most. Cryptocurrencies are based on blockchain which is a highly secure but decentralized digital cash system which relies on a peer-to-peer network. This electronic exchange is built on cryptography to control the creation and transfer of digitalized monetary units.

We welcome a panel of three speakers who will bring unique perspectives and knowledge on cryptocurrencies.

Joshua Rogers, a graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arete Wealth – a full-service Broker Dealer, Register Investment Advisor (RIA) and Insurance firm. Arete Wealth’s main focus is wealth management for high-net worth individuals and institutions, alternative investment access, venture capital, and private equity programs. In 2018, Rogers applied his financial expertise as a managing member of Windy City Crypto LLC, which administers investment options in the expanding and evolving cryptocurrency market.

Clint Cox is an active member of the ULCC and the founder of The Anchor House, Inc., an investment advisory firm. Cox has advised top global consulting firms, companies, and various government agencies regarding supply chain issues and Rare Earth Element markets. Since 2016, Cox has been researching crypto and blockchain technologies and has since then advised various firms and government agencies regarding cryptocurrencies and blockchain. Cox is currently the Co-Chief Investment Officer of Crypto Futura Fund LLC. Cox holds a B.A. degree in English from Colgate University.

Karl T. Muth is an intellectually diversified individual with a history in studying law, economics, and business administration. Muth holds a J.D. degree and a M.B.A. degree, the latter from the University of Chicago as well as a both a M.Phil. and a Ph.D. degree from the London School of Economics. Muth is also the CEO of FRST, a venture-backed startup that equips traders with enterprise-grade, trading-desk-ready tools for analyzing and trading digital assets. A prolific writer across these areas of expertise, his opinions on economic, finance, and legal issues have been quoted in a wide variety of media and cited by the Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission and in the Yale Journal on Regulation.
